Córdoba.

Capital de um império que foi glamouroso, poderoso e muito superior aos seus vizinhos em cultura, estética, ciências, medicina e tudo o mais e por um longo período de quase 500 anos, foi também a cidade mais povoada do Ocidente por vários séculos. Imensamente rica, pôde se dar ao luxo de ter enormes e caras construções, mesquitas que rivalizavam com as mais belas do Oriente e ofuscaram Damasco e Bagdá, Córdoba foi o centro do mundo islâmico ocidental por um longo período e capital do Califado, o que não é pouca coisa.

Tínhamos, portanto, que conhecê-la um pouquinho.

Hoje a cidade nem de longe lembra seu melhor tempo, sendo uma cidade mediana nos padrões espanhóis e pequena nos padrões brasileiros (tem uns 300.000 hab). Porém seus segredos históricos continuam por lá e suas ruelas, seu bairro judeu, sua Mesquita-Catedral, seu Alcazar, tudo isso faz dela um lugar lindo de se conhecer. Mas faz MUITO calor no Verão, portanto, não aconselho visitas em julho e agosto (chegamos a pegar 50 graus no meio da tarde e 36 graus às 23h... sem exageros).

Quanto tempo dedicar à cidade? Bem, como sempre dependerá muito do seu ritmo de visita e também do que gosta de visitar, além da "intensidade" com que gosta de desfrutar dos lugares. Para a média das pessoas eu acredito que dois dias bem aproveitados sejam suficientes para ver praticamente tudo. Para os viciados em História ou aqueles que são intensos nas visitas, acho que uns 3 ou 4 dias serão suficientes. Nós, claro, ficamos 4 dias e não vimos tudo! kkkkkk

Para chegar é moleza. Nós fomos de carro desde Sevilha. A viagem é muito tranquila e leva umas 2 horas, sem pedágios ou percalços, pois é tudo muito bem sinalizado. Há também um trem de alta velocidade que sai de Sevilha para Madrid e passa por Córdoba, então, pode-se fazer o percurso desde a Capital até Córdoba e depois seguir para Sevilha numa boa. Os preços, na minha opinião, são salgados, mas há quem prefira.

EU fiz besteira na hora de fazer a reserva do hotel. Não me dei conta de que escolhi um hotel de 1 estrela... e pagamos o preço por isso. A localização dele era ótima, mas as instalações estavam longe do nosso padrão usual, não tinha frigobar no quarto e o ar condicionado (e a internet) eram uma droga. O que não quer dizer que não seria muito bom para outras pessoas, em especial jovens sem filhos e que só vão ao hotel para descansar a carcaça. kkkkkk No nosso caso, foi complicado. Além de tudo, por ser no centrão histórico da cidade o hotel não tinha a menor chance de ter um estacionamento e morri em 16 euros por uma diária num estacionamento próximo. 

Depois do primeiro dia de perrengue, mudamos de hotel e, PELO MESMO PREÇO (na verdade, por 6 euros a menos, se contarmos o estacionamento), pegamos o ótimo 4 estrelas, COM PISCINA e VISTA PANORÂMICA DA CIDADE: Hesperia Córdoba. Aaaaahhhh, bom estar de volta ao nosso lugar... ar condicionado excelente, frigobar, internet excelente, vista da cidade (por mais 12 euros, mas quem quiser ficar num quarto interior, tem um deck no terraço com vista excelente da cidade... depois veja as fotos que tirei para ter uma idéia). E há vagas bem pertinho em muitos lugares, portanto, menos um preju.
